The USC Roski School of Fine Arts and the USC Athletics Department are pleased to present the 7th Annual Louis Galen Artletics Exhibition. Artletics is an annual showcase of artwork made by USC intercollegiate student-athletes in USC Roski School studio-art courses. The exhibition highlights the creative talents of Trojan student-athletes representing a wide range of sports—among them football, volleyball, lacrosse, water polo, track and field, and rowing—through works in photography, ceramics, design, painting, and drawing.
The 15 student-athletes participating in this year's Artletics exhibition are:
|
Charles Burks (football) Kristine Busa (track and field) Jeffrey Churchman (track and field) Martin Coleman (football) Crispin Collins (track and field) Anna Gustafson (women's lacrosse) Kara-Leigh Huse (women's water polo) Patricia Jancso (women's water polo) |
Maddison McKibbin (men's volleyball) Vineta Moca (women's rowing) Kristen Park (women's golf) Nick Perry (football) Daphne Thompson (women's water polo) Anna Wierzbowska (women's rowing) Gregory Woodburn (track and field) |
Artletics is organized by Karen Koblitz, head of Ceramics at the Roski School, and named in honor of USC alumnus Louis Galen, who graduated from USC Law in 1951. Galen was a strong supporter of the USC Athletics Department and, along with his wife Helene, endowed the Galen Ceramics Studio, the Galen Ceramics Lecture Series, and the Helene V. Galen Intermedia Lab at the USC Roski School of Fine Arts.
