Master of Public Art Studies Lecture Forum
The Master of Public Art Studies Lecture Forum is comprised of a series of guest lecturers addressing issues specific to art and cultural practices in the public sphere, and public space. The overarching thematic for the Spring 2009 term is The End and Beginning of the Public Sphere & Public Space, which is a means of questioning what constitutes the public sphere today, and by extension, the problematics of public space, on both theoretical and practical terms. With the diverse range of guest speakers and symposia organized for this term, we are seeking to understand how art, and other forms of cultural production, might be conceived as playing key roles in the re-imagining of public realms.
