STATION

station_natehess.jpg

STATION, started by the Roski School Photography area, was designed by artist Tellef Tellefson (MFA '10) as an experimental space for artists to exhibit books and ephemera. Situated in USC's Graduate Fine Arts building, adjacent to the 3001 Gallery, the space is committed to engaging current students with the larger Los Angeles art community. Programmed by faculty member Sharon Lockhart, the gallery exhibits new work by eight different artists or collectives each semester. Artists' visits to campus offer an opportunity for dialogue directly with students. The space has hosted recent exhibitions by current students, Roski alums Sydney Mills (BA' 10) and Meredith Bayse (BA '10), and artist Nate Hess, as well as a collaborative exhibition curated by Lynda Bunting of works by Brian Kennon and Raymond Pettibon.
