This class is designed with the artist in mind, with the purpose of establishing a foundation in clay and glaze materials as it relates to making ceramic art. Through a series of lectures and hands on lab exercises students will experiment with ceramic raw materials and glaze technology in relevance to an artists approach to ceramic work. Students will gain an understanding of raw materials and discover how to develop and utilize clay bodies and a variety of surfaces, which will suit their specific needs.
