This class is by invitation only, and only for upper-division students. To participate, all students must be recommended by a USC Roski School of Fine Arts design instructor. The class consists of two components: 1) working on projects for outside clients; and 2) learning professional practices.
The first component is the project. Students enrolled in this class will work on a research project (or in some cases, two projects).
The second component of this class is professional practices, and will cover information on contracts, agreements, copyright issues, billing procedures, invoices, developing estimates, printing issues, etc.
Fine Arts design students make up the core group of this class, but other students will be invited from other University discipline areas, depending upon the nature of the projects for that semester.
