This class is intended to be a summation of your undergraduate work, and aid you as you look ahead to your career in the future. Throughout this course, you will identify your assets and your passions, and learn to present yourself professionally, culminating with an exhibition. Exercises include writing your own press release and designing an announcement (or having one designed) for your exhibition or performance. You will document your work in a professional manner, and make a minute formal, oral presentation of your work to the class during your exhibition or performance. You will write a resume as well as a formal description of your work, or an artist statement.

Apart from the focus on your own work, you will also do a research project and present it to the class in a 20-minute oral presentation, complete with visual aids. We will discuss a lot of practical issues you will face as you enter professional fields in visual art.
