Painting Minor - 24 units

Within both Western and non-Western traditions, painting has a long history as a site of aesthetic experience and cultural questioning. This minor allows students to immerse themselves in painting, as well as developing a grasp of the critical isseus surrounding it. Foundation courses provide the fundamentals of color, composition, medium and drawing. Advanced courses require more ambitious projects, personal direction, research and sustained focus.

All minor applicants must follow the requirements of their catalogue year in the USC General Catalogue. Please pick your catalogue year from below.
