Advisement for USC Roski Students

Undergraduate Students

All continuing students must meet with their USC Roski advisor before registering for Fall 2015 classes.

*Seniors: If your STARS report has the message, "All requirements completed, in progress courses used," you DO NOT need to come in for advisement.

The Fall 2015 Schedule of Classes will be available on March 9th:

Students will also be able to view their Fall 2015 individual registration appointment times on myUSC beginning March 9th. Please visit, go to OASIS, then Permit to Register.

Class standing is based on the number of units COMPLETED and does not include current classes. To find out your class standing, go to, go to OASIS, then STARS Report.

Schedule an Appointment for Mandatory Advisement. Please schedule your appointment online:

     A. Log in to myUSC
     B. Go to the Undergraduate Advisement tab

     C. Select the time/day you are available
     Students with last names A - K should meet with Academic Advisor Christina Aumann:
     Students with last names L - Z should meet with Academic Advisor Nancy Trinh:

     D. You will receive an email confirmation of your appointment

     E. Arrive ON TIME to HSH 101 for your appointment.

Appointment Policy and Drop-In Advising Days:

     A. If you are unable to attend your scheduled meeting, please email your advisor as soon as possible.

     B. If you are more than 10 minutes late, miss your appointment, or cancel your appointment less than 24 hours in
      advance, you must come to the next available Drop-In Day

     C. Hours for advisement on Drop-In Days on April 7, 8, 16, 17, 20 are 9:00-11:50am + 1:00-4:00pm.

     D. There is no guarantee you will be able to meet with your advisor on drop-in days.

For the Most Productive Advisement Meeting:

     A. Write down your questions in advance.

     B. Bring a list of your planned classes for Fall 2015, including section numbers, class times and days. This way, we may be able
      to give you USC Roski departmental authorization ("D-clearance ") DURING your advisement appointment. Departmental
      authorization is not automatic: you MUST make a request, and it's a first-come, first-served process.
      If you need D-clearance for a non-Fine Arts (non-FA) course, you will need to contact the department which offers the course by phone or in person.

     C. Bring your course plan with each of the classes you plan to take each semester until graduation. This should be based on
      the remaining requirements on your STARS report, available at OASIS via myUSC.
