FADN 333 New York Design Study Tour

Number Title Units Offered Prerequisites
FADN 333 New York Design Study Tour 2u Spring None

This 15-week course will provide students with an exciting alternative to traditional classroom-based learning. Students will experience firsthand historical and contemporary aspects of the New York art-and-design world.

During USC's spring recess, students will travel to New York City for a week to visit design firms, studios, and museums. They will be given an opportunity to meet and interact with leaders in the design industry and to tour renowned design firms. During the semester and trip students will maintain an e-journal and conclude the term with a presentation of their experience.

Beyond two units of USC tuition fees there are additional costs to cover round-trip airfare, accommodations, appointments at design firms and agencies, museum entry fees, and select group meals.

This course is open to students of any level with an application and two faculty recommendation forms. Please contact Haven Lin-Kirk, faculty member and head of the design area, with any questions.

Note: Students may earn a maximum of 8 units in ALL FADN 333 classes, regardless of course content.
