Roski Visit + Portfolio Review
All potential applicants are encouraged to come in for a personal portfolio review with a Roski School admissions counselor. This is the best way to learn about the art programs and the unique opportunities at USC, tour the art studios, and see and feel what it's like to be a student here.
Individual portfolio reviews may be scheduled Monday through Thursday, between 9 am and 11 am or between 2 pm and 4 pm. Please contact Penelope Jones, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs (penelope@usc.edu), to make an appointment. Portfolio reviews may also be scheduled after a Meet USC program.
Meet USC
Meet USC, held most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, is the most comprehensive visit program for high school juniors, seniors in their fall semester, and their families. The program includes an information session led by an admission counselor, a walking tour led by a current USC student, and an information session with an academic department of the student's choice.

Transfer Information Sessions
Transfer Sessions are offered on most Tuesdays at 3 p.m. and are open to all students interested in transferring to USC. The one hour sessions are given by an admissions counselor and include information about USC's transfer application process, transfer credit policy, and financial aid. Students have the opportunity to ask questions and receive helpful materials that will assist them through the transfer process. Reservations are recommended.
Special Events
Portfolio Forum + Discover USC: Sunday, November 20, 2011
Discover USC is a full-day program that provides prospective freshmen (high school seniors) and their families with an opportunity to tour the USC campus; visit with current students, faculty, and staff; and learn more about the university. The Roski School will host an information session in the morning, from 10 to 11:15 am, and an information session and Portfolio Forum in the afternoon, from 1 to 4 pm.
During Portfolio Forum, an admissions representative and studio faculty members fromt he Roski School will be on hand to offer guidance for portfolio submissions. Students should bring 3 to 5 easily portable pieces of artwork for critique, which may include drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and/or graphic design. We will be unable to critique time-based or interactive digital work at Portfolio Forum.
Due to space constrictions, Portfolio Forum is limited to student applicants only. From 1 to 4 pm, family and friends are welcome to participate in other campus activities scheduled for that day.
Separate reservations are required. RSVP for Portfolio Forum here. And RSVP for Discover USC here.
Off Campus Receptions
For those unable to travel to Los Angeles, USC holds Discover USC - Off Campus Receptions with general information for prospective freshmen in various metropolitan areas across the United States, and one in Hong Kong, during the month of October.
