Coursework is offered through University of the Arts London: London College of Communication. This program is appropriate for junior and senior-level students and is available to Roski majors during spring term only. Off-campus apartments are shared with other study abroad students. Media available for credit toward art major: Design, Photography, and Intermedia. Course schedules for USC Roski students are pre-determined, as noted below. No language requirement.

 

UAL LCC courses: GRAPHIC MEDIA DESIGN focus (two courses for 15 USC units
)

1. Language, Audience and Environment (transfers as 10 USC units, similar to DES-402 Advanced Design Projects)

2. Contextual and Theoretical Studies (transfers as 5 USC units, similar to DES-323 Design Theory).

 

Interested students must apply for Design focus at UAL LCC. The following courses must be completed or in progress –- grades in completed courses must be a straight “B” or better: CRIT 150, DES-102, DES-202, DES-203, DES-302, DES-303 and DES-332A. Additional recommended preparation: DES-332B or ART-370. 

 

UAL LCC courses: PHOTOGRAPHY focus (two courses for 15 USC units
)

Practice 4: The symposium (10 units) A symposium presentation of visual and theoretical practice, including identifying an industry professional to conduct an in-person interview. Transferable as ART 361 Internet Studio: Online Experimentation, not repeatable for credit.

Collaborative Unit (5 units) Offering the opportunity to work collaboratively with students from other courses and disciplines across the College.  Transfers as upper division studio electives.

Interested students apply for Photography focus at UAL LCC. The following courses must be completed or in progress –- grades in completed courses must be a straight “B” or better: CRIT 150, ART 150 and/or ART 151, and ART 250.
