About the Exhibition

Kill Only Time is an installation and video show which dissects our present relationship to nature: nature as framed by art history, nature as raw material in a digital age and nature as spectacle in a virtual future. It seeks to understand how we stand in direct contrast to –or perhaps as the legacy of– the Expansionist-era image of nature which demands that one should “take only pictures, leave only footprints, kill only time.” Exploring these questions, Roski BA candidate Gabriel Tolson presents an immersive experience which traces how pictures, footprints and time have splintered nature and formed from its materials a digital skin which lives and breathes.
