Lunch With Creatives: Haili Francis
Oct 23, 12 noon
Take a break and join Dean Haven Lin-Kirk for a new Lunch With Creatives: Alumni Series as she talks with Roski School alumni and their trajectory out of school, current practice, and how our shared values are still present in their work. Engage in conversations around timely topics and issues with art and design professionals that have unusual and diverse practices in the creative realm.
Dean Lin-Kirk will be joined by Roski alum, artist, and arts administrator Haili Francis (BFA ‘08). At the Smithsonian Haili has worked in fundraising, curatorial, and public programming projects for nationally touring exhibitions such as Men of Change: Power Triumph Truth. In 2016, Haili received a mayoral appointment to the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Board to help steward a $30M city arts budget. In 2017, the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) invited Haili to serve on the National Program Committee for the annual Museum Conference under the theme, “Gateways for Understanding: Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion.” Haili has a nonprofit management and policy certificate from the Sol Price School of Public Policy, and a Masters in Museum Studies from Harvard, where she was awarded a public service prize at commencement.
