The Exhibition

Franchesca Flores is an interdisciplinary artist and graphic designer from San Jose, CA. She received her Bachelor's degree in Design from UC Davis in 2019 and is currently an MFA candidate at the University of Southern California Roski School of Fine Arts. Her upcoming show, Mater-ials features works based on a sustainable artistic practice demonstrated through prints and sculptures.

Her background in design has led her to ask herself what the future holds in a world that produces at an alarming rate and expresses this potential through her artistic practice. As a whole, Flores is influenced by ecological theories and a holistic practice where she is using mycelium, the tree of the mushroom, as a means to reconsider her materials and mediums.
