Candice Lin is an interdisciplinary artist who works with installation, drawing, video, and living materials and processes, such as mold, mushrooms, bacteria, fermentation, and stains. Lin has had recent solo exhibitions that include the Govett Brewster Art Gallery (New Zealand), Portikus (Frankfurt), Bétonsalon (Paris), and Gasworks (London), as well as group exhibitions at Para Site (Hong Kong), the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Hammer Museum (Los Angeles), Moderna Museet (Stockholm), New Museum (New York). She is the recipient of several residencies, grants and fellowships that include the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant (2019), the Davidoff Art Residency (2018), Delfina Foundation Artist in Residence (2014), and Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship (2009).
