USC Roski Dean Haven Lin-Kirk Installation
On October 8, 2018, at USC Town and Gown and with faculty, staff, alumni, family and friends; USC Roski celebrated Dean Haven Lin-Kirk’s installation. After 17 years as a Roski professor, mentor, and friend to countless students; while providing generous support to faculty and staff; and in recent years serving as Vice Dean of Design, Lin-Kirk now serves as the dean of the USC Roski School of Art and Design.
Her tenure at USC Roski has brought national acclaim to the school. This past year, Lin-Kirk oversaw the addition of an MFA Design program that is housed in a new facility in Los Angeles’ downtown Arts District. In August, Niche.com listed USC Roski School of Art and Design #1 in Best Colleges for Design in America and the school #4 for the Best Colleges for Art.
The position of dean oversees the MFA Art, MFA Design, MA Curatorial Practices and the Public Sphere, BFA Art, BFA Design, BA; and all Roski minor programs.
At the time of her appointment, Provost Michael Quick stated, “Haven Lin-Kirk is an exceptional choice to lead USC Roski. She is a respected professor, an artist and designer, accomplished scholar and researcher. We are excited to see the USC Roski School under her leadership.”
We all look forward to an exciting future under her leadership.
