Campus Life
At the USC Roski School of Art and Design, “home” is the dynamic University Park campus in the heart of Los Angeles—a campus so large and diverse, it feels like a town in its own right. Life here is both nonstop action and L.A. chill; skateboards and bikes and pop-up events, but also grassy nooks and hammocks. Nearby, USC Village, the university’s new campus-adjacent neighborhood, offers shopping, dining and sunning. It’s the campus life.
Where’s Roski?
Roski’s three key locations stretch across campus—and off. Together, they give you access to studios, exhibition spaces and more. You’ll also have access to USC’s libraries and other campus-wide facilities.
Watt and Harris Halls
Roski’s hub in USC’s University Park—the main campus is in Watt and Harris Halls, your destinations for many first-year classes. The buildings are near Campus Center and a quick walk from USC’s Watt Way entrance, Exposition Boulevard and the L.A. Metro.
Roski Studios
The undergraduate USC Roski Studios Building sits a half-mile off campus at 30th and South Flower Streets. As a BFA Art or Design senior, you’ll have an opportunity to occupy studio space here.
The USC Roski Graduate Building in L.A.’s Arts District houses the MFA and MA programs. As an MFA student in Art or Design, you’re a candidate for studio space at this Palmetto Street location on the new 25,000-square-foot Arts District campus.
A Creative Immersion
Housing Options
As a USC Roski undergraduate, you can choose among residential colleges and residence halls, all close to classes, onsite social and study spaces, and dining services.
USC Roski first-years often choose housing with a creative foundation. At Parkside Arts & Humanities Residential College—or the neighboring Parkside International Residential College—you’ll live in a suite of double rooms clustered around a common space.
Parkside Arts & Humanities thrives on artistic activity; live-in faculty offer social-learning programs and the spotlight is on your work. A performance space, collaborative learning center, music practice rooms and lounges on all floors add up to a hive of creativity.
Most graduate students live in off-campus student and family housing—solar panel-equipped, thanks to USC’s sustainability initiative—or in nearby L.A. neighborhoods.
Friends, Fun, Finds
