Gia Carmenate is a Freshman from Pasadena, California and is currently pursuing a BA Art with a minor in Psychology. As an interdisciplinary artist, Gia works in various mediums – including but not limited to film photography, painting, video/audio, as well as music production. Gia views her art major as the roots of being a multimedia artist. Combining the work she does with music and live performance, she is able to bring her Roski education to conversations within the LA music scene. Focusing on her love for zines, she is able to include live event photography and band interviews into her zine “Paper Streets”. Gia will always be passionate about having personalized commentary on being a fem artist in a misogynistic industry– fighting societal norms and embracing her queer identity.
