HR/Payroll Coordinator

The Roski School of Art and Design is seeking a Payroll/HR Coordinator to join its team! The coordinator will perform a variety of duties that include serving as a school contact in the research and resolution of payroll and HR-related issues while interfacing with the University central payroll and HR teams; assisting faculty, staff and students regarding payroll or HR-related matters; coordinating bi-weekly and monthly payroll submission; ensure students, staff and faculty are paid accurately through a timely reconciliation process; and draft, review and summarize a variety of payroll and HR-related documents and reports relative to faculty, staff and students (i.e. employee time sheets, faculty contracts, new-hire offer letters, and other on-boarding documentation). Additional responsibilities includes various reports, assist with recruitment and draft communications regarding USC payroll policies, among other tasks. Qualifications include two years minimum experience with a proven track record working in payroll or personnel processing with knowledge of applicable federal, state, local laws and regulation. Budget & Business Analyst

The Roski School of Art and Design is seeking a Budget/Business Analyst to join its team! The Analyst will perform a variety of duties that include assisting with the annual budgets, planning of short and long term budgets, analyze overall departmental spending versus budget and other budget reports; assist with forecasts for future budget performance; identify and share with supervisor variances; reconcile account balances; work with staff and faculty regarding university financial policies and procedures and review purchasing and other spending procedures to ensure compliance with USC. Additional tasks are required. Full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor, Critical Studies

The USC Gayle Garner Roski School of Art and Design invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Critical Studies at the assistant professor level, to start fall 2022. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Visual Studies, Performance Studies, Art History, or a related field, with at least two years teaching experience at the university level and a strong, emerging scholarly profile as evidenced by a growing track record of peer-reviewed publications, invited presentations, and other prominent public contributions in art and performance areas. Preference will be shown for candidates with curatorial and/or performance programming experience, as well as demonstrated interest in fostering diversity within Critical Studies curriculum.

Full-time, Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Design

The USC Gayle Garner Roski School of Art and Design invites nominations and applications for full-time tenure-track appointments for practitioner-scholars of design at the assistant or associate professor level, to start Fall 2022, with the rank determined by the extent of previous experience. The ideal candidates will have an established reputation among peer designers and scholars, and a strong desire to work in a community of diverse and world-class artists, designers, scholars, and curators at the Roski School and across USC. Qualified candidates must hold a terminal degree in a relevant major or discipline, ideally an MFA in Design or a PhD in design history and theory. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of teaching experience, ideally in both undergraduate and graduate-level courses; and should be able to offer historical and critical frameworks through which students can understand design practices of the twentieth- and twenty-first century, with attention to trends in design in a transnational context and/or that reach beyond Euro-American frameworks.

Part-Time Position, Part-time Lecturer for USC Roski School

The Roski School of Art and Design at the University of Southern California invites applications for a rolling pool for part-time non-tenure-track faculty positions in the school’s three divisions, Studio Art, Critical Studies and Design. This is an ongoing posting for a pool, and we will be hiring intermittently, for openings starting Spring semester or Fall semester, or at other times. The pool will be purged every two years on even years.
