Hannah Huntley

MFA Art '24

Hannah Huntley is a fiber artist and printmaker from Reno, Nevada. She received her BFA in printmaking at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019. Her work features anthropomorphized creatures, objects, and primitive house imagery to explore human issues with child-like whimsy. Her color palettes, illustrative style, playful patterns, and soft textures aim to invoke a sense of comfort and nostalgia in her audience. She utilizes satire and comedy to draw attention to the absurdities of human nature, societal beauty standards, gender, and chronic illness.

Community and non-profit are a pillar of Huntley’s art practice. She co-founded a nonprofit community printing press called Laika Press in Reno, Nevada in 2018 that serves the Reno art community as an artist practice space and educational facility.
