Rahzizi Ishakarah Unveils Large-Scale Mural in Watts Neighborhood, Covered by Daily Trojan

With support from the Watts Labor Community Action Committee, Roski alum Rahzizi Ishakarah (BFA 2020) created a football-field-sized mural featuring brown and Black surfers and Watts neighborhood icons. The mural was unveiled in February 2026, after four years of planning and help from over 150 volunteers who worked on the piece for three months.
