El Pais Names Suzanne Lacy Exhibition One of the Best in 2020

Suzanne Lacy’s work is these days more contemporary than ever, despite the fact that she has been leading the dawn of collective art since the 1960s. Her incessant research on problems related to gender identity, sexual violence, exploitation at work, poverty or racism calls for a new artistic language that seeks change and that delves into urgent issues such as education, social commitment. When someone wonders if art can have a real social function, she is the answer. A new success for the Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art (Seville) with this first major review of their work in Spain.
