My name is Mia Jiang, and I was born in China and have been in Los Angeles for almost nine years. The vibe, history, and culture of this city have deeply attracted me. I was drawn to this program because I believe that curating is not only found in galleries or museums, but that “curating” is present in every corner of life, from the stage setup at Coachella music festival to the creation of Instagram accounts. I want to improve my curatorial thinking through my studies over the next two years and open up to new ways of looking at the unknown and the future.
