Student Life
The USC Roski School of Art and Design is situated at the intersection of two centers for culture and innovation: the city of Los Angeles and the University’s bustling campus, which is home to six leading schools for the visual and performing arts. As a Roski student, you have all this, plus museums, performance venues, eclectic cuisine and the thriving L.A. Arts District nearby.
Campus Living
USC students have a range of housing options, including living-learning communities for freshmen and off-campus opportunities for grad students. For Roski first-years, there’s the Arts & Humanities Residential College, with live-in faculty and floors shared by visual artists or designers, musicians or dancers.
Our City: Los Angeles
LA is among the world’s most eclectic and diverse cities, with an offbeat spirit. LA and its Southern California surroundings offer every landscape and more cultures, languages, cuisines and ways to live and think than you can imagine. It is sun, surf and tacos. But even more, it’s open minds and fearless moves. LA is a home where your creative mind will thrive.
Visions & Voices
When the mic goes live at this University-sponsored series, it’s the place to be. Music and dance performances, author readings and conversations with cultural icons are free and open to the public.
Creative Spaces
Roski’s facilities are a draw. Our main campus hub houses well-equipped studios for 2D, 3D and 4D media. Shared undergraduate workspaces are a short walk to the USC Roski Studios Building. The USC Roski Graduate Building in the Arts District boasts private and open-concept studios, a makerspace for Masters candidates and a 2,000-square-foot professional gallery.
USC Clubs
USC’s more than 800 student clubs and organizations include many devoted to the arts, such as the visual- and performing arts–focused Community Arts Collective, Artemis at USC and for shutterbugs, Photography at USC.
Roski’s Student Magazine
