"Deconstructing the Institution: Curating for the Community"

This lecture will address the evolving role of the curator as cultural producer and advocate for underrepresented voices in our nation’s cultural organizations. Focusing on my work in New York, San Diego, Tucson, and Minneapolis, I’ll discuss what I’ve learned in my 15+ year career, what I would do differently, and what I would like to see for museums, artists, and arts audiences in the future.
